How to plan

We all sometimes struggle because of lack of time or too much stuff to do. But does it happen just because the circumstances pressure us and there indeed is too much to do, or does it happen because we don’t plan everything right?

Actually, planning itself is not difficult at all. The difficult thing though is to make it your habit, not something you absolutely have to do. I’ll give you a very simple guideline, which will help you become more efficient and confident in this crazy-crazy world.

  • Get an agenda

Find a perfect notebook, where you can write down all your plans and tasks. There are tons of different styles of diaries on the market, so knock yourself out and find the best one for yourself. I personally prefer just small notebooks with completely blank pages, so I can make any layout I want.

  • To-do lists

These are very important if you often forget what you have to do. Make yourself write down everything you have to do for a day, a week or in general, so every time you have a spare minute, you could look into your To-Do list and see if this minute is really spare.

  • Schedules

Write down your schedule. This way you won’t be wondering where do you have to be tomorrow or at what time to wake up. Everything should be at a hand’s reach. Therefore, use your agenda to schedule everything, from classes to dates and meetings with your friends.

  • Do not procrastinate!

If something has to be done by Monday, do not leave it for Sunday if you know you will have spare time on Friday. This way you will be able to free your weekend without having something hanging over your head. If you have a big project to work on, start early and do small bits every day. This will significantly decrease the perceived workload, and will make you stress out much less.

  • Find some time to relax

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, they say. Find some time to relax and have fun.

I really hope you find these advice useful. If you follow them and such planning becomes your habit, you will notice how much calmer you are and how much simpler the life seems. Comment down below if you have some of your own tips to stay organized!

Have a wonderful day!

Yours,

Maria
